Catching up.....

Well I have to say that alot has happened in our life since I have posted....... I read others blogs but do not find the time to sit and write.......

The Lord has been so faithful and carried us through so much that I truly do not know where to begin...... I am walking and able to do stuff like keep the kids and make dinner. I have learned that a perfect house and everything in a row is not as important as laughing and enjoying my family. Being there as a wife and mother. When my life goals were once focused on huge things and everything outside of home the Lord has taught me to focus on what He counts important and to let Him be enough.... If I can do several things in a day great but on a day I can not then I focus on what is truly important.... the kids and Micah and the Lord.

One thing I have found is that it is important to try and do things but when I can not say ok Lord what do you have for me today. Do I do this perfectly and patiently at all times? NO!!! But I am willing to learn. I have found that when you have an illness it is so vital to rest in the Lord. I was one to be busy before. I would have every day filled in my week and be going constantly to the point of distraction..... the Lord slowed me down so that I would listen and focus, trust, rely and learn that he is what matters as well as my family.

I have learned that the family of God is amazing and that I have had to give over control and allow people in to my cluttered house and whether I was in a walker, bed or wheelchair or not...... It does not matter as much about what I can do but about what the Lord can do. I have had to swallow my pride and be vulnerable........ I still struggle but the Lord has promised He is not finished with me yet......

I guess I write this out of grattitude to a group of people that has prayed, cleaned, cooked, babysat, called and been there. Thank you. I write it because the Lord is GOOD and whether things are hard or not He has a plan and is faithful. I write because I have a husband that is amazing..... He has worked and then come home and taken care of everything and still smiles at me and carried me all around (literally). I have two kids that love their family and hang in there with me and are such a gift. One of whom says when she gets big and becomes a mom she will have a port and a big purse for her ivs........ ( little does she know that is not the norm :) and that is not what I want for her....

I write to ask prayer for our vacation. We are definately going to Cincinatti August6-10. We would like to do some other stuff but do not know if I can so prayer for wisdom, strength and the Lord's plan would be great. Micah is off from July 30- Aug 10 so whatever we can do is great and we will enjoy it. Prayer for discipline to use my time well and to get the most out of every day with pleasing the Lord, being consistent in discipline and time with the kids in the word. For energy to do my role as much as I can and fix healthy meals. That is critical for my health and my families.

I want to be at every chapel thing I possibly can and have fellowship and time to be a part of the work the Lord has for us but also be patient and content when set aside to be quiet and pray and be in my little world. I keep track of what is going on and please know when I am not there it is because I can not be. But I can pray and do. I do miss all of you to the point of it hurting alot.
I have to say that it has been a hard lesson and very lonely at times but worth it. I would never have wanted the Lord to not teach me. To let me go my way and not love me enough to train me. That is the only way we can do what the Lord asks of us......

If you can please share with me what the Lord is teaching and doing in your life...... I think of you all and pray for you. I might not be around and at everything but I am thankful and want to be. Our illness would have been alot harder to deal with if it were not for all of you. Thank you for being part of our family. My prayer is the Lord keeps working in us that our group can glorify and serve the Lord in awesome ways. That we can reach people and see what the Lord can do when we let Him. I was one of those lost people hurting and desperate when He saved me but I am so glad He did not quit there but is truly making each of us a new person if we allow Him too.

Thanks for listening and sharing. If it seems scattered and not pulled together well it is the Lyme!!!!!!
